What is ISO 9001:2015?
ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard that gives requirements for an organization’s Quality Management System (QMS). It is part of a family of standards published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). These standards have extensive requirements which an organization needs to fulfill to achieve customer satisfaction through consistent products and services which meet customer expectations. This includes a requirement for continual (i.e. planned) improvement of the Quality Management System.
ISO Certification highlights DUI’s dedication to providing not only quality products and services today, but the continual drive to improve them and the processes with which to do it.
As these are international standards, being ISO 9001:2015 enhances DUI’s ability to work with US and international governmental organizations.
What is CE Certified?
The CE mark, or formerly EC mark, is a mandatory conformity marking for certain products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA) since 1985. The CE marking is also found on products sold outside the EEA that are manufactured in, or designed to be sold in, the EEA.
The CE marking indicates a product’s compliance with EU legislation and so enables the free movement of products within the European market. By affixing the CE marking to a product, a manufacturer declares, on his sole responsibility, that the product meets all the legal requirements for the CE marking, which means that the product can be sold throughout the European Economic Area (EEA, the 28 Member States of the EU and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein). This also applies to products made in other countries which are sold in the EEA.
